Posting without an account.
You get a generated name and picture the moment you arrive, and you can post, react and reply
straight away. Open You to set your own picture and banner, write a bio and add links —
guests get the same profile as everyone else. It all lives in this browser, so clearing your
site data wipes it, along with the ability to edit or delete what you posted.
Posting with one.
Sign in with the same CELL4 account you use on the main site. Your work follows you across
devices, you keep control of it, and you can be verified.
Links on your profile.
Site, X, Instagram, portfolio — https only, no shorteners, and adult or ripped-content hosts
get bounced. Links other people posted always show you the real destination before you go.
What happens to a file you upload.
The browser checks the real file signature — not the extension — so a renamed executable is
refused. Static images are then redrawn through a canvas, which strips EXIF, location data and
anything hidden after the end of the image. Only the clean re-encoded picture is uploaded.
SVG is not accepted at all, because it can carry script.
What happens to your words.
Titles, notes, tags and replies are screened against the rules before anything
is sent. Evasion tricks — spacing, symbol swaps, repeated letters — are normalised out first.
Anything caught is refused with the reason shown, and repeated attempts pause your posting.
Reporting.
Every piece has a report button. Reported work is flagged for review immediately and hidden
behind a blur once enough people agree. Automatic screening is a filter, not a judge — people
are the second pass.
Where it's stored.
On cell4.art's own servers when the board's API is reachable. If it isn't, the board keeps
running against this browser's local storage so nothing is lost — you'll see the connection
state in the footer of your profile panel.
